President
Annie has been involved with AAJA ever since she was a student in 2012. She discovered audience engagement work because of the AAJA network and now runs Politico's engagement team. Her mission as chapter president is to continue the cycle of invaluable professional support and friendship from AAJA that has transformed her career.

Vice President of Engagement
Kelyn is reporter covering exercise and fitness for The Washington Post's Well+Being section. He previously served as the chapter’s national board representative.

Nicholas Wu
Nicholas is AAJA DC’s Vice President of Communications. He’s currently a Congressional Reporter at POLITICO, where he’s covered the congressional response to the Jan. 6 insurrection and the legislative battles over President Joe Biden’s agenda, among many other issues on the Hill. He previously worked as a Congressional Reporter and a breaking political news reporter at USA TODAY and as a fellow at National Journal.

National Advisory Board Representative
Sameer Rao works as an editor for Technical.ly, where he oversees reporting on the tech economy in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. He has previously been a Connecticut legal industry reporter for Law360's mid--law-focused sister site, Law360 Pulse, as well as an arts and entertainment reporter on The Baltimore Sun's features desk and an arts and culture reporter for Colorlines.

Moriah Balingit is a national education correspondent at the Washington Post and has been a member of AAJA since 2009.
